Q: How do I get a quote or start an order?
A: Fill out the Master Intake Form first. It captures your model/parts, service choices, artwork, and deadline. We review, confirm anything we need, then send your final quote and ETA.
Link: [Start the Master Intake Form]
Q: What are your typical lead times?
A: From the time your parts and final artwork are received:
-
Cerakote single color: 7–10 business days (often faster)
-
Laser engraving (artwork ready): 3–5 business days
-
Laser porting: 2–3 business days (no re-coat); ~5 with re-coat
-
Stippling (standard): 7–10 business days
Complexity, masking, and queue volume can extend times. We confirm an ETA on intake.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes. 25–50% due at approval (applied to total). Balance is due at completion before pickup/return shipment.
Q: Do you accept ship-ins?
A: Yes. Non-NFA items can ship via UPS/FedEx/USPS. NFA items must ship UPS or FedEx only. Out-of-state NFA returns typically require a Form 5 transfer—we’ll advise during intake. Insurance + adult signature are required on all returns.
Q: Should I upload my ID or Form 1/4 to the website?
A: No. After we accept your intake, you’ll email your Form 1/4 and a front image of your valid ID within 24–48 hours for ownership/address verification. We don’t store these in any AI system.
Q: Do you work with strict-law states?
A: We comply with all federal and state restrictions. Some services/shipments aren’t available to certain states. We’ll confirm eligibility after intake.
Category: Ordering & Communication
Q: What’s the fastest way to move my job forward?
A: Complete the intake, provide print-ready art (or approve our art proof quickly), and answer messages promptly. Local drop-off beats shipping time. Rush is limited and quoted case-by-case.
Q: How do I check status?
A: Reply to your intake confirmation email or DM with your order ID. We send updates at key stages (intake → in queue → in progress → QC → ready).
Q: Can I change my order after approval?
A: Minor changes are often fine if we haven’t started. Changes after prep/masking/coating or laser programming may add cost/time.
Category: Artwork & Files
Q: What file types do you prefer?
A: Vector (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) is best. High-res PNG with transparent background also works. If you don’t have vector art, we can convert/clean it (design time quoted).
Q: Can you size NFA markings to spec?
A: Yes. We size to ATF requirements (minimum character height and depth where applicable).
Q: Will you provide proofs?
A: For artwork we prep or modify, yes—we send a digital proof for approval. Production begins after you approve.
Category: Cerakote
Q: What impacts Cerakote pricing?
A: Masking complexity, color count, disassembly/reassembly, surface prep, and any re-coat after laser work.
Q: Can you color-match a photo?
A: We can get close with the Cerakote catalog and lighting control. Exact matches aren’t guaranteed without a physical standard.
Q: How durable is the finish?
A: Cerakote is highly durable when applied and cured correctly. Normal wear is expected over time at friction points.
Category: Laser Engraving & Laser Cutting
Q: How deep can you engrave?
A: Depth depends on the material, area, and heat tolerance. We’ll advise after we review your parts and desired outcome.
Q: I only have a JPEG—can you still engrave it?
A: Usually yes, but we may need to clean/convert it to vector for crisp edges (quoted). Vector yields the best results on steel, aluminum, and polymer.
Q: Do you offer laser cutting?
A: Yes—select materials and thicknesses. Provide material type/thickness in intake; we’ll confirm feasibility and quote.
Category: Laser Porting
Q: Will porting affect finish/warranty?
A: Porting generates heat and exposes raw edges. We typically recommend re-coat for a uniform finish. We’ll review your model and discuss trade-offs.
Q: Do you offer patterns or custom layouts?
A: Yes. We have proven patterns and can design customs (design/programming quoted).
Category: Stippling / Framework
Q: Can I pick a standard pattern?
A: Yes—standard patterns fit most frames and keep cost/lead time down. Custom outlines or complex sets extend time and cost.
Q: Will stippling affect function?
A: We protect critical interfaces and keep tolerance-sensitive areas intact. You’ll get care tips on pickup/return.
Category: NFA / Compliance / Shipping
Q: How do NFA ship-ins work?
A: For out-of-state NFA items, a Form 5 return is typically required. We’ll prepare instructions and timelines after intake. UPS/FedEx only for NFA shipments. Insurance and adult signature are required.
Q: Can I walk in an NFA item locally?
A: Yes. We record you in our Class 3 gunsmithing book and verify your approved Form 1/4 + ID. No website uploads.
Q: Do you insure shipped items?
A: Yes. All returns are insured with adult signature. You pay actual carrier cost; estimates include a 15% buffer to cover rate changes.
Category: Pricing, Deposits & Payments
Q: Why do some projects cost more?
A: Complexity—multi-color masking, deep engraving, micro-detail, or extra prep/QC cycles—adds machine time and skill hours.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Common cards and approved digital methods. Invoice will list options.
Q: Do you offer package pricing?
A: Yes for some bundles (e.g., multi-gun batches, standard Cerakote + laser marks). Ask in your intake and we’ll apply the best structure.
Category: Quality Control & Warranty
Q: How do you QC?
A: We check prep, film build, edges, adhesion, engraving depth/clarity, and reassembly function. Any concern pauses the job for your approval.
Q: What’s covered under warranty?
A: Workmanship defects on the service performed. Normal use wear or damage from misuse/alterations isn’t covered.
Category: Local vs. Ship-In
Q: Is local faster?
A: Usually yes—no carrier delays. If timing is critical, choose local drop-off/pick-up when possible.
Q: How do I pack for shipping?
A: See our Ship-In Guide for box size, padding, part separation, and labeling. Include your order ID in the box.

Category: Special Products (Examples)
Q: Do you sell laser-engraved PMAGs or accessories?
A: Yes—limited runs (e.g., topography series). Availability appears on our site and social posts.
Q: What is the NFA Engraved Card?
A: A premium, thick card with your NFA item serials laser-engraved (wallet-friendly). We can add entries over time. Ask in your intake for pricing and update options.
